Under 16 – Junior Cricket @ Strathmore

For season 2010/11, the Strathmore Cricket Club has 2 Under 16 teams

Training

Both teams train on Thursday nights from 4.30pm to 6.00pm at Lebanon Reserve

Age Criteria

Eligible to play U16 cricket if player is not aged 16 on the 1st of September

Team Selection

U16 coaches are responsible for selecting squads for each team (maximum of 13 players)
The U16 Division 1 squad is to be made up of the strongest U16 players.
For remaining division squads, players are to be assigned in an amicable manner in a meeting of relevant coaches. Coaches should aim to make the Division 2 squad stronger than the Division 3 squad but not look to have all the strongest players outside the Div 1 team, in the Div 2 team. Coaches will also look to consider teams from previous years and whether or not a player is playing their first season in U16.

Policy

The spirit of Under16 cricket at Strathmore is structured teams that are result orientated and we play to win. All under 16 players willing will be given maximum exposure to Senior cricket during the season, including training.
